Hand Thrown Mugs
Hand thrown on a traditional potter’s wheel with fine British stoneware, each of our handmade mugs are decorated with a wonderfully tactile thumb dent which entices the holder to discover and connect with it.
Pieces of art as well as functional drinking vessels, the range began as a sculptural investigation, an attempt to capture the sensuality of the human form while exploring the fluid shapes and multitude of surfaces that are possible in clay. The textured satin matt glaze on the exterior and practical glossy glaze within increase the desire to reach out, touch and discover, with each mug encouraging an intimate connection to the ritual of tea and coffee drinking and the comfort that it brings.
Our hand thrown pottery mugs are individually made by Emma in our North London studio, and have been featured in The Great British Bake Off and The Great Pottery Throwdown as well as British Vogue, ELLE Decoration, House and Garden, Stylist and Livingetc magazines.
