Ceramic Espresso Cups
A downsized version of our iconic Everyday mugs, our handmade espresso cups are thrown on a traditional potter’s wheel with fine British stoneware. Part of our Everyday tableware range, each piece is decorated with a joyfully tactile thumb dent that entices the holder to discover and interact with it.
Functional tableware as well as conceptual pieces of art, the collection began as a sculptural investigation, an attempt to capture the sensuality of the human form while exploring the fluid shapes and multitude of surfaces that are possible in clay. With a tonal palette of satin matt glaze on the exterior and practical glossy glaze within increasing the desire to touch textures and contours, each espresso cup encourages an intimate connection to the ritual of coffee drinking and the feelings it conjures.
Our hand thrown espresso cups are individually made by Emma in our North London studio and have been featured in The Great British Bake Off and The Great Pottery Throwdown as well as British Vogue, ELLE Decoration, House and Garden, Stylist and Livingetc magazines.
